Advantage is a once a month topical flea treatment for cats and kittens over 8 weeks or older and dogs and puppies 7 weeks or older. This product kills 98-100% of the fleas on cats and dogs within 12 hours. Comes in the following sizes - Small Dog Green- for puppies over 6 weeks and small dogs up to 10lbs; Medium Dog Teal for dogs 11-20lbs; Large Dog Red for dogs 21- 55lbs and Extra Large Dog Blue for dogs over 55lbs; Small Cat Orange for cats and kittens up to 9lbs; Large Cat Purple for cats over 9lbs.

Cautions
This product is for external use on dogs 7 weeks or older and cats 8 weeks or older. Consult a veterinarian before using on medicated animals, animals using this product with other pesticides, and debilitated, aged, pregnant or nursing animals. This product causes eye irritation in humans and is harmful if swallowed. Avoid contact with skin. Call poison control center if swallowed. If on skin, wash with plenty of soap and water. If in eyes, flush with plenty of water.

Directions for Use
Place the applicator tip through the animals hair to the skin level. On cats, apply to skin on neck at the base of the skull. For dogs up to 20 lbs, apply to skin on back between the shoulder blades. For dogs 21 lbs or over apply the contents of one tube to 3 or 4 spots along the skin on back from the shoulder to the tail. Do not get this product in the pet's eyes or mouth.

This is the best topical I have ever used - I live in the country and have two white toy poodles. With all the deer, rabbits, squirrels and other wildlife I have an abundance of fleas. I tried Frontline and it just didn't work, it was like applying water. I decided to try Advantage II because I had used it on my cat and it was effective. The first month I could see the difference, with the second application the fleas were gone, I am re-ordering for the third time. It might not work for you but for me it's the best I have used. By the way, if a white poodle has fleas you will see them, mine are flea free.

Dog doesn't like it but it works. - I have tried other topical flea treatments for my dog and have never been as satisfied as I am with Advantage. Other treatments were either not as effective or were very smelly or greasy. Advantage has a mild scent and doesn't make the coat look dirty. It also cures flea problems quickly and effectively prevents an outbreak. I never have a flea problem when we use Advantage. Advantage is easy to use. Just place it on her back. The only thing I have to remember is not to wash the dog for a few days before and a few days after applying. At least that's what they always tell me at the vet's office. I admit my dog is never happy to have it on. She walks around in circles looking miserable for the first few hours, and then she either feels better or gives up. Fleas make her feel worse, so she'll just have to deal with the occasional dose of Advantage.

I've tried everything on my Norwegian Elkhound and finally i came across advantage and it worked! I recomend putying it where the dog scratches the most, a few drips to the skin on the sides and near the base of the tail , and finally some near the shoulder blades. thats how i found it worked best.

Inherited 2 cats and they came complete with fleas. I bought advantage along with the spot spray and flea comb and so far my flea infestation has diminished and I havent seen a flea since. I also vacuumed and used my carpet cleaning machine. I gave both a bath with Dawn dish soap which I was informed to use because fleas don't like it. Since I've done all this, everything has been great. I will definitely continue to use these products, Thank you.
